Everil is a motivational
storyteller, and a dynamic and
entertaining speaker. With his
amazing ability to educate and inspire audiences
through provocative and sometimes heart-wrenching
tales of living and working among the peoples of
third world countries, Everil is "Creating
Positive Change".
Everil never decided to
turn his volunteer work into a speaking career, it
evolved naturally.
As people heard of his visits to
third world countries and what he was trying to
accomplish during these visits, they wanted to hear
more. Speaking about his experiences became an
important method to share insights and thoughts
about the courageous and wonderful peoples he’s had
the privilege to meet.
As a graduate from the University
Of Minnesota, School of Agriculture, as well as
through life experiences, Everil demonstrates a
strong and knowledgeable background in
agri-business.
Everil’s
professional and volunteer portfolios boast his work
with both USAID and the United Nations.
His extensive experience with NGO’s include
consulting for Winrock International, serving
with the CNFA, and presenting numerous workshops
during his service as a Cooperative Development
Specialist for VOCA throughout Europe, Africa
and Asia.
In his experience
as a Cooperative Development Specialist with VOCA,
Everil has helped start farm cooperatives in eight
of the 15 Former Soviet Union countries, including a
cease-fire zone during a border war between Armenia
and Azerbaijan.
Teaching
member-controlled business policies and dealing with
emerging privatization of agriculture were unique
challenges Everil faced. During the
initial informational meeting, before committing to
this daunting job, he was ensured that “this is
gonna’ be easy.”
While living and
working with subsistence farmers in developing
countries, Everil has acquired a unique perspective
on foreign cultures, customs and traditions.
His insight and tales of a simpler life in these
third world countries is nothing short of
fascinating.
