Intro:

If you turn on the TV, listen to the radio or pick up a newspaper, all you hear or read about are the negative things going on in the world today, and sometimes it may be hard to find something positive to focus on.

My next guest has found something that helps him focus on the positive – both for himself and for the world.  With "Creating Positive Change", he’s been able to break away from the negative doom and gloom that’s being touted in the media…and that is by volunteering.  Everil Quist volunteers in third world developing countries.

Sample Questions:

1.   How did you get started volunteering in third world developing countries?

2.   How many volunteer projects have you worked on? Why foreign countries?  Why not volunteer right here in the U.S.?

3.  What kinds of volunteer projects are funded by USAID?  As a result of these USAID programs, what kind of progress is being made?

4.  In what way do volunteers contribute to these programs to make this progress happen?

5.  Share with us a story or two about your recent work in Tanzania, Africa.  What stood out most in your mind?

"'Creating Positive Change' is easier than you may think.  You can create the change in yourself or in a method.  It takes one step at a time.

You need to be motivated and have a true desire to help - whether that help is for you or for someone else, even an entire country."

“Hearing Mr. Everil Quist speak about living and working with farm families in the Former Soviet Union reminded me of how much we take for granted as citizens of the United States.  He’s a wonderful storyteller and really brings those experiences to life.  Don’t miss an opportunity to hear him.”
